The Problem
Client needed a professional, high-converting site in weeks, not months, at a fraction of agency cost — without sacrificing performance or SEO quality. Stakeholders had competing priorities and no agreed definition of what 'success' looked like before launch.
My Contribution
I led end-to-end requirements definition and project coordination for this marketing site build. I facilitated stakeholder workshops to align on conversion goals, SEO targets, and success KPIs before any design work began — resolving competing priorities that would otherwise have caused rework mid-build. I translated business requirements into technical specifications for the development team, managed the analytics stack and A/B testing framework requirements, and documented the CMS operational procedures for the client team's post-launch self-service.
The Solution
Requirements-first delivery: stakeholder alignment on conversion architecture before design, KPI definition before launch, analytics and A/B testing specifications, and CMS handover documentation for post-launch self-service.
Results
- Launched in 3 weeks (vs 8+ weeks for traditional agency)
- 1.2 second page load time
- 35% visitor-to-email conversion rate
- Mobile performance score: 98/100
- Page 1 keyword ranking within 2 months
- Cost: $8k (vs $15k+ agency quote)
The biggest ROI came from spending the first week on conversion architecture — mapping the user journey and defining CTA placement and success criteria before a single design was produced. Sites that skip the requirements phase to 'move faster' almost always require expensive rework after launch.
